What information is being collected?
In order to comply with Council Licensing regulations, I need to collect the following information. This includes:
Names, Address and Contact Information of you, the Owner.
Name and contact information for your emergency contact.
Details of your dog.
If you e-mail me or send me messages via social media, these messages are stored within my e-mail system or social media accounts. These messages are stored for as long as practicable to allow me to provide you with the service you are requesting.
Who is collecting the data?
The data is being collected by The Dog’s House, Retillick Cottage, Roche, St Austell, Cornwall. PL26 8NB
How is it being collected?
All of the data is collected directly from you when you complete a Booking Form as part of the booking process necessary for when your dog stays at The Dog’s House.
Why is it being collected?
All of the data I collect is solely for the purpose of providing you with the service that you have booked with The Dog’s House.
I am required by law to collect and store certain information relating to any service or order you receive from The Dog’s House in order to comply with HMRC accounting regulations.
How will it be used?
The data that I collect will be used by The Dog’s House to enable me to provide my services and products to you.
Contact data (e-mail, telephone, social media) may be used to send you updates regarding your dog that is staying with me, or to inform you of important business updates.
Who will it be shared with?
I take your privacy very seriously. I will not sell your data to third party organisations. There are a few scenarios where some of your data may be shared with third parties to allow me to provide my services to you. These include: software, payment and process providers.
I use various software and third party providers for online orders and payment processing. When choosing these providers, I have made sure that your data will only be used for the stated purpose, and that they will not be carrying out further processing or sharing your data with third parties.
Law enforcement and legal requirements
I will provide data to law enforcement agencies if issued with a court order to do so.
How will this affect you?
I collect, store and process your data in such a way that should have no negative effect on you as an individual.
How long is the data stored?
Most data I collect is stored indefinitely. This is to allow us to provide a better service to you as a customer in the event that you contact me again in the future.
I am legally obliged to store some data for a minimum amount of time, in order to comply with Council Licensing regulations

If you have any questions about data I hold about you, please feel free to contact me. As well as trying to help you directly, you are entitled to raise any concerns directly with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
You may request a copy of any data I store about you – and I will comply with any requests as per the guidance of the Information Commissioner’s Office.
